Trigonometric Functions

Trigonometric Functions

Trigonometric identities are identities that use trigonometric functions. it’s a part of arithmetic that manages the connections or relationships between the length and angle of a triangle. this is a very important old concept that first appeared within the third century BC. This part of science is related to the plane equation of a rectangular triangle involving pure mathematics functions and is correct for all values of existing variables that define either side of the equation. Geometrically, these are the identities of certain functions involving one or a lot of angles. They differ from the triangle’s logo, which can involve angles, however additionally the length of the edges or different lengths of the triangles.

Students are taught about trigonometric functions in school and colleges it is important piece of science that help us to comprehend and get Knowledge about trig character. we are going to discuss different ideas of trigonometry. These identities are used to simply the trigonometric functions. Most of the students face problem in Trigonometric identities. But they are very simple and interesting.Depend on the way how you are going to understand these identities.

Intro To Trigonometric

  • Hypotenuse
  • Opposite
  • Adjacent

Let’s discuss some basics. We take right triangle as shown in figure. In a right triangle, the hypotenuse is the longest side, and the side exactly opposite to it  is called opposite side across the given angle and the side next to angle is called adjacent side..

Trigonometric Functions

Trigonometric Functions sine, Cosine and tangent of an angle sometime called basic trigonometric functions. As shown in the figure above of right triangle the ratios of right triangles are called trigonometric ratios.which are sine(sine), Cosine(cos) and tangent (Tan).Theses are predefined for the triangle.By using these functions we can find different sides of the triangle.

Sine Function:

sin(θ) = Opposite / Hypotenuse

Cosine Function:

cos(θ) = Adjacent / Hypotenuse

Tangent Function:

tan(θ) = Opposite / Adjacent

Trig Identities

For the given angle θ each ratio stays the same
no matter How large and small triangle lengths are.

Example: what are the sine, cosine and tangent of 45° ?

The classic 45° triangle has two sides of 1 and a hypotenuse of √2:

Now according to above given Formulas.

sin(45°) = 1 / 1.414 = 0.70
cos(45°) = 1 / 1.414 = 0.70
tan(45°) = 1 / 1 = 1

Trig Identities

Trigonometric identities are also called Trig Identities and they are a mathematics equation which consists for trigonometric functions. By using the above functions we solve these identities. Theses identities are used for accurate findings for value of variables.

There are different types of Trig identities you can get more information on official website of Trig Identities.

  •  Opposite Angle Identities
  • Double Angle Identities
  • Half Angle Identities
  • Pythagorean identities
